Patrick Harison is a young accordionist adept in a wide variety of musical genres. Raised in Minneapolis, MN, his musical roots are quickly reaching across many geographic areas. His hometown provided him many opportunities to learn on the bandstand with veteran musicians in jazz, classical and folk music. The McKnight foundation awarded him their 2005 Artist Fellowship Grant, which allowed him to travel and follow his diverse musical interests. In 2006, Patrick relocated to New Orleans to play as a member of The Panorama Jazz Band and Loose Marbles. These active ensembles appeared all over the world at events like the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, Fete Du Musique and other international festivals. In addition to his work as a New Orleans musician, he also spends time performing in New York City. While a resident there, he founded the Baby Soda Jazz Band with other young and established Brooklyn traditional jazz musicians. Patrick currently resides in Minneapolis, MN and is active nationally as a musician, composer and bandleader.
